I am an Autonomy Engineer at MITRE. This is my personal webpage.
I graduated with a PhD in Robotics from the University of Michigan in April 2022. I researched how training and real-time information about a system’s confidence in its recommendations can support trust calibration and effective monitoring in human-machine teams.
My doctoral advisor was Professor Nadine Sarter. Through my research, I gained experience designing and conducting human factors experiments to evaluate joint human-machine performance, analyzing gaze behavior with an eye tracker, and conducting statistical analyses. I completed graduate-level coursework in cognitive ergonomics, human factors, human error, artificial intelligence, computational data science, and robotics. I graduated with the Graduate Certificate in Data Science, in addition to my doctorate.
Prior to beginning graduate school in Fall 2015, I worked for Metron Aviation, a subsidiary of Airbus ProSky, developing new air traffic management concepts and analyses.
I graduated with Departmental Distinction in Mechanical Engineering from Duke University in 2012.
